Effect of sequential cropping on physiological and biochemical index of soybean

The sequential cropping of soybean for 2-3 or more years would result in lower content of photosynthetic pigments in leaves, lower activity of superoxide dismutase and catalase, and in higher conductivity of exudate and higher content of MDA and proline reflecting the damage of cell membrane. Its apparent consequence is poor growth, falling of flower and pods which would lead to yield decrease
