Sugarcane variety BL4 was grown in three planting patterns and four intercropping systems to determine correlation of cane yield with its components. Number of millable cane (r-0.7972** ), cane length (r=0.4825* ), cane girth (r=0.7126** ) and weight per cane (r-0.5773* ) were positively associated with cane yield. Number of millable cane, cane weight, cane girth and cane length contributed 64, 31, 3 and 0.98 percent variation in cane yield, respectively. Number of millable cane, weight per cane and cane girth collectively accounted for 97.43 percent variation in cane yield.
