Threat of onion beetle Lilioceris merdigera L. (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) to onion grown from seed and sets in southern Poland

Infestation of three cultivars of onion grown from seeds and sets by Lilioceris merdigera was determined. The biggest number of infected plants (75 percent) and the greatest percentage of nibbled places (44 percent) being observed in the onion cultivar Wolska. Infected of onion seedlings was respectively 34 and 16 percent
