Preliminary studies on the sideric horizon of rusty soils with the use of microchemical X-ray analysis
1994
Janowska, E. (Szkola Glowna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego, Warszawa (Poland). Katedra Gleboznawstwa)
The results of the study showed, that the chemical composition of rusty coats on quartz grains in soils developed from eolian sands is similar. In the coats were found the following elements: Fe, Cr, Si, Al, Ca, K and S. The material studied does not allow to state whether or not the rusty coats consist of different chemical compounds depending on the origin or parent rock. It can be assumed however that the similar chemical composition is result of similar nature of the soil-forming processes in sands of different origin
