To give a right and efficient answer about organizing sheep and goat breeding on new grounds and principles within a market economy, different forms of associations have been tested. 25 private farmers with a total stock of 2520 sheep, out of which 1915 ewes representing 76 per cent of the stock and 380 goats, have been associated in the "Sheep and Goat Breeding Association of Biruinta, Constanta county." During the two years of activity, researchers tried to improve the existent technologies and introduce new ones. Besides the 62.15 ha of natural pasture and the 135 ha of arable land owned by the association a pasture of perennial irrigated cultivated crops was created for grazing and hay making. Organizing local, village, communal and county districtual associations represents a keen and quick-to-be-solved problem under the conditions of developing a private agriculture and, at the same time, a safe key factor for the private farmers to protect their rights.
