It has been shown that in irrigated fields, the green fodder can be obtained in the late fall after the corn harvested for silage. The retrospectively analyzed probable provision of period with the heat allowed to substantiate the choice of cold-resistant crops and their-ielding capacity at the level of 20, 30, 40, and 50-60 t/ha
