On breeding of hexaploid winter triticale for adaptability
1994
Shchipak, G.V.
The results are cited of long-term tests of hybrid winter-spring populations of hexaploid triticale contrasting conditions as well as of the target selection for the increased resistance to unfavorable environmental factors. The lines with a complex abiotis resistance have been selected. On their basis, a new triticale cultivar AD 44 with improved yielding capacity and adaptability has been obtained. The average grain yield of AD 44 was 5,51 t/ha after the fallow and 3,35 t/ha after the barley, or by 0,53 and 0,47 t/ha higher, respectively, as compared to the standard cultivar. Similary, the fresh mass yield of AD 44 was by 0,75 and 0,22 t/ha higher than in the control 5,20 and 2,44 t/ha after the fallow and barley, respectively
