Most of the farmers were male, finished Prathom 4, the average age was 43 years. The average family number was 4.8 persons, while only 2.9 persons could work in the farm, their average of agricultural area was 35.8 rai. The average annual income was 157,830 Baht. They had an average experience 4.2 years. Most of farmers contracted with canning factory and were the members of agricultural cooperative. The main source of knowledge in pineapple production was from their neighbours as well as from the canning factory suggestion. The average area of pineapple growing was 23 rai and planted by double rows system with the average planting of 7,143 plants per rai. Most of the pineapple plants were grown from crowns and suckers. All of the farmers used chemical materials over recommendations. The average of chemical fertilizer was about 45.7 gms per plant, size selection of crowns and suckers was done by most of farmers. The farmers regularly watered pineapple twice a month during the growth period of fruit. The average of pineapple yield was 8,220.6 kgs per rai. Some farmers sold their pineapple to the fresh market while most of them sold to canning factory. Size selection of fruits were done by farmers before delivering to canning factory and most of them sold pineapple directly to canning factory and local merchants. The tendency of pineapple price sold to the fresh market was higher than canning factory
