Promoting nutritive values in prepared food

1) Number of the labelled prepared food sold, was higher than those without the label. 2) The consumers strongly agreed to the following opinions: the freshness and cleanliness of ingredients were taken into account when they purchasing these prepared food; the ingredients should be carefully selected; A more varied selection should be available; meat should separately be packed from others in plastic bag. 3) The comparison of consumers' opinion data revealed that there was no sex differences. However the differences in educational background led to the differences in the following opinions: (1) consumer considered the quantity of prepared food firstly; (2) consumer considered the nutritious characteristics firstly; (3) buying prepared food was economically; (4) the ingredients were quality controlled; (5) the nutrition labelling was useful for only consumer who had nutritional knowledge. Those who had a higher educational level had a higher average score than a lower one, specifically in points 2 and 5. 4) In October 1990, there were ninety two menues of prepared food sold at this supermarket. The top three prepared food sold were "Pad Soba", "Padped Mhupa" and "Suki-thale".
