Produce high yielding three-way or double cross hybrid corn by using ten inbred lines: K239, Ly22-4, WF9-2, TP105-1, TP105-3, TP267-1, TP297-2, Ki20, Ki22 and Ki25. They were crossed in diallel fashion and resulted in 45 single cross hybrids. These hybrids were evaluated for yield in 7x7 triple lattice design in 1988 dry season at Phraphutthabat Field Crops Experiment Station and in 1988 rainy season at Nakhon Sawan Field Crops Research Center. Then single crosses of mean yield were used to predict three-way and double crosses by method b of Jenkins (1934). The 10 highest yield of three-way and double crosses were selected from the predicted yield from 15 single crosses. They were evaluated for yield in 6x6 simple lattice design in 1989 early rainy season at National Corn and Sorghum Research Center and in 1989 rainy season at Phraphutthabat Field Crops Experiment Station and Nakhon Sawan Field Crops Research Center. There were 17 hybrids that gave higher yield than KTX2602, the check. The Double cross (K239xKi22) (WF9-2xKi25) gave the highest yield of 8,613 Kg/ha with 127 % as relative to the check. The highest general combining ability inbred lines are Ki25, Ki22 and WF9-2. The non-significant correlation coefficient between predicted and actual yield was due to genotype by environmental interactions and the plot error.
