The results point out that applied herbicides reduced the number of soil microorganisms five days after applications, while their number 30 day after applications was higher in comparison with pretreatment and control. Single applied herbicides, especially atrazine, inhibited the number of fungi, and stimulated the number of bacteria, which was confirmed by the negative correlation coefficient. Increased in number of bacteria significantly reduced the number of fungi belonging to genus Aspergillus, Microdochium, Penicillium and Verticillium. According to data on effects of the single application of herbicides on certain genera of soil fungi, effects of their mixture application could not be predicted.
