Investigation covered the success of insemination with doses containing fewer spermatozoa, in a volume of 100 ml dissolved semen. It was studied the degree of conception and size of litter in the inseminated sows. A total of 52 sows were covered by the investigations. Dissolved and preserved semen with 2.5 - 3 billion spermatozoa per dose was used for insemination. The sows were inseminated twice (first when heat was observed and second on the following morning). "Freshly" obtained and dissolved semen was used for these inseminations. Semen was dissolved and preserved using B-7 type solvent. The applied investigations are economically significant for veterinary practice and for pig reproduction.
