Components of genetic variability of castor-oil plant height, number of leaves and number of branches (Ricinus communis L.)

Diallel crossings, including reciprocal, were made between five varieties of castor-oil plant (Ricinus communis L.). The analysis of genetic variability components was made for the plant height, number of leaves and branches per plant. Additive component was higher than dominant for all three studied traits. Parents possessed more recessive genes for all studied traits. The partial dominance expressed in the inheritance of all three investigated traits in all combinations. Narrow sense heritability was high for all the studied traits
