The objective of the present investigation were as follows: to select donor lines of traits (alleles) not possessed by parents of a target hybrid, whose yield is to be improved; to evaluate S3 improved progenies on the base of selected donors; to estimate yield of new improved hybrids in comparison to elite commercial one.
