Technical measures to increase survival rate of rose cuttings
1996
Gang, Y. | Xu, C. (trans)
This study suggests that the survival rate of the rose cutting may be improved by selecting a semi-lignificated branch with new buds for the cutting. Each stem section should be about 10 cm long, 0.5 cm crude with 3-5 nodes. The best propagation period for the rose in Antigua and Barbuda is from August to October. The application of hormones in rational concentration is also an important survival measure. Other crucial factors are temperature, light, water and a well ventilated media
