Different contamination sources are reflected in the sequence of single polycyclic aromatis hydrocarbons (PAH) in fluvisols and in the metropolitan area of Prague. Considerable soil loads with PAH are found also in the share of more compounds and the higher toxicity. The loads of fodder plants with persistent organic pollutants have relation to the regional immission loads, but not to their on-site soil content. Retrospective monitoring and evaluation of the PAHs profile distribution proved different trends in fluvisols than in another soils.
