The effect of level of inoculum on barley infection indicated that percentage of infection increased by increasing the level of inoculum up to 20 galls per pot. Two races of A. tritici were identified, one attacking barley and the other attacking wheat only. Other results showed that the presence of A. tritici with the fungus, Dilophospors alopecuri as mixed inoculum in the soil increased the severity of the disease on barley. The effect of level of concentrations of the plant extract, cleome quinquenervia up to 20 significantly increased percentage of killing of barley juvenile nematode up to 85.5
