This research aimed to survey and evaluate land resources in Al-Safawi area of the Jordanian Northern Baddia. Reconnaissance survey was conducted for the whole area, while a detailed survey was carried out for Shbeekeh and Bag'aweh mudflats in order to choose suitable management system for the land resources. Landscape approach was employed, in this survey, to evaluate and classify terrain according to ITC system of terrain classification and evaluation. Terrain units were identified based on photo-interpretation and field survey for both, the whole area and the Shbeekeh and Bag'aweh mudflats. The terrain units were evaluated based on the available land resources. A deterioration of land resources, in the area under consideration, was revealed, for example: the misuse of rainfall and over exploitation of groundwater led to quality deterioration. Land also suffered from wind and water erosion, whereby, the soil texture was mostly silty which meant decreasing permeability and deterioration of quality and quantity of nutrients - nitrogen and organic matter. Soil was salinity free and the alkalinity was moderate in general. Concerning vegetation cover, the density was below average and the dominant vegetation species were unsuitable for grazing. Finally, a terrain ecological maps for Shbeekeh and Bag'aweh (scale 1:12500) and terrain map units for Al-Safawi area (scale 1:100,000) were compiled. The study emphasized the importance of employing an efficient management method in developing land resources potential
