The size of stomata cells and pollen in the tetraploidy were 141.7-153.3 and 144.2-153.8 percents larger than the diploid, respectively. But the number of stomata cells per unit area (0.057 square millimetre) was less than the diploid. In derivated perilla tetraploidy, the growth of young plant was very vigorous and the thick of leaves and the size of flowers were larger than the diploid.
