[Evaluation of initial experimental material]

In 1996 several models of intensive orchards were evaluated at Pure State Horticulture Research Station. To evaluate the initial state of trees, the diameters and length of stems as well as the length of trees were measured. To determine the uniformity of vegetative growth of trees, the variation coefficients of the above mentioned measurements were calculated. The measurement data of the tree stem diameters are shown in table 2. The variation coefficients of tree vegetative growth are presented in table 1. They are in the range of 7-16. The results of the trial prove that the trees are sufficiently uniform, the differences in measurements are not significant.
