Studies on the comparative efficacy of botanical pest control materials (Neem oil), synthetic regulators (fenoxycarb and NKI-35120) and synthetic insecticides (Tamaron and Polytrin-C) were carried out against cotton whitefly, cotton jassid and thrips. Neem oil gave encouraging results. Similarly, IGR at higher dust rate (80 gms/acre) gave significantly) of all the three pests insects over check. Polytrin-C and Tamaron, however, gave the highest mortality of all the three insect spices in all the three sprays neem oil and IGR showed greater indirect effect as antifeedant, growth inhibitor and ovipositional deterrent as the insect morality was minimum after the 1st spray and maximum after the 3rd spray.
