Effect of seed rates and seed bed conditions on the growth and green fodder yield of berseem
1993
Shafi, M. (NWFP Agricultural Univ., Peshawar (Pakistan)) | Muzaffar | Khan, S.
The effect of three seeding rates i.e 15,30 and 45 Kg/ha and seed bed conditions namely 1. standing water 2. vatter 3. dry condition on the green fodder yield of berseem was investigated during 1982-83 growing season at NWFP Agricultural University. The data was recorded on plant emergence, plant height and green fodder yield. Seeding of berseem at the rate of 30 Kg/ha produced green fodder with maximum plant height and maximum number of branches as compared with seed rate of 15 Kg/ha. Planting berseem in standing water produced the highest quantity of green fodder with maximum number of branches and plant height.
