1993
Chaudhry, I.M. | Thapa, M.B. (University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (Pakistan). Dept. of Horticulture)
Twenty four bearing trees of Pineapple sweet orange of same age and vigour were selected and fertilized during early spring at the rate of 500-173-207.5, 1000-327-415 g NPK/tree/year and control. Higher NPK doses improved concentration of elements in fruiting as well as non-fruiting terminals. Phosphorus content remained unaffected. Among the tagged inflorescences, single flowers on current shoots gave significantly better fruit yield. A positive correlation was found between leaf N and K in spring flushes and fruit yield.
