A study was conducted at Oilseeds Research Institute, Faisalabad on intercropping soybean with corn and mung. Corn cultivar 'Agaiti72' and mung cultivar '6601' were sown with soybean cultivar 'Williams' in alternate rows in separate experiments during 1992 and 1993. On the basis of land equivalent ratio, productivity increased by ten percent in corn-soybean intercrop and decreased by six percent in mung-soybean intercrop. Using area time equivalent ratio technique the productivity increased by eight percent and decreased by ten percent for corn-soybean and mung-soybean intercrops, respectively. On the basis of income per hectare corn-soybean intercropping gave 15.2 percent higher income than sole corn. Whereas mung-soybean intercropping gave 23.9 percent higher income than mung alone.
