Weeds harmful to grain crops in the Krakow Region

The weeds harmful to grain crops were allocated to 27 soil units, using 725 phytosociological records. The weeds considered harmful were those which, on a given soil, had the frequency of appearance not lower than 40% of analysed fields, and a coverage coefficient higher than 1. The list of harmful weeds comprises 36 species in the Krakow Region. Of this number, only 12 were found more frequently (6-22) in studied soils. The remaining weeds were harmful in 1 to 2 soil units, and were closely related to a given habitat. The number of species harmful to cereal crops was 2 to 15, in individual soil units
