Sorption capacity of particle size fractions of selected soils
1996
Okolowicz, M. (Warsaw Agricultural University (Poland). Dept. of Soil Science)
It was stated that CEC of investigated soils decided was mainly dependent on fractions lower than 0.02 mm. The portion of silts and sands fractions in CEC of soil was low, approximatly 25%. Organic matter contribution to CEC of respective genetic horizons was differentiated. In horizon A - CEC depends in an even degree on organic and mineral part of separated fractions. In the deeper horizons of sandy soil, organic part separated from soil fractions contributed 20 to 30% to their total CEC. In the soil from boulder loam the participation of organic matter in CEC of grain size fraction from these horizons was low. Mainly mineral part of soil fractions influenced their CEC
