In long-term experiment on mountain meadow at Czarny Potok valley, begun in 1968, the effects of 2 rates and 2 forms of nitrogen fertilizers, applied against a background of P+K, on yielding, chemical composition of plants and soil properties were studied. During 25 years the crop took up from experimental objects (without liming) 1140-3874 kg K, 365-714 kg Ca, 140-367 kg Mg, 23-67 kg Na/ha. Content of basic exchangeable cations in soil decreased with the depth. In soil profile the smallest were differences in Mg cation content. Differences among the objects in content of exchangeable Ca within 0-12 cm soil horizon appeared the highest (at fertilizing with double N-doses the Ca content was twice lower than the control)
