Investigations carried out in an apricot tree orchard on sandy soils have revealed that the harvest diminish is strongly influenced by some microclimatic accidents specific to this area, while the main cause of tree death is the soil natrium content associated with high air porosity and high pH level. Different natrium toxicity levels were shown in changes suffered by apricot root system distribution and root components. In ecopedological conditions of dammed-in Potelu-Corabia area, high natrium and ferrum content levels were found in apricot roots.
