Agronomical and economical efficiency of leaf-applied fertilization in maize, some fruit trees and vineyard

The paper presents some of the experimental results obtained in rigorous field trials on maize (single and double-crossed hybrids for seeds), apple, sour cherry, plum and fruit vineyard with supplementary, stimulative, foliar fertilization carried out between 1987 - 1993 in Romania. The testing data have revealed that leaf fertilization, with especially formulated foliar fertilizers complex, led to high agronomical and economical efficiency. The apparent productive recovery of leaf applied nutrients in obtained yield were higher than 100 per cent assuring an environment protection effect of this fertilization method.
