The paper deals with growth response of spruce to possible climatic changes in accordance with published scenarios to the year 2030. Dendroclimatic models expressing the multiple regression between the basic climatic factors (mean monthly temperature and monthly precipitation) and radial increment were used. The results show that 56 % and 44 % of the trees will respond to climatic changes by respectively decreasing and increasing the radial increment in comparison with the present standard. The differences depend on ecological groups of the trees, (alpha = 0.48), aspect (alpha = 0.005), altitude (alpha = 0.13) and site class (alpha = 0.21)
