Pathotypes of wheat leaf rust determined in Slovakia in 1994
1996
Bartos, P. (Research Institute of Crop Production, Praha (Czech Republic)) | Huszar, J.
One hundred and one isolates from 28 localities were tested on standard differentials and on cv. Salzmunder Bartweizen. The predominating race was 61SaBa, representing 93.1 % of all isolates. Other races were 77SaBa (4.9 %), 77SaBa (1 %), and 57SaBa (1 %). Registered cultivars and advanced lines from the State Varietal Trials were tested with the identified races. At the seedling stage only cv. Vlada was resistant to 61SaBa. In the registered cultivars the most frequent resistance genes are Lr3 and Lr26, but they are ineffective to these races. Gene Lr3 is also common in advanced lines; three lines seem to possess Lr26. In several advanced lines, the resistance genes could not be determined. Of the advanced lines, WBE-0097A4 and SG-S-265 were resistant to 61 SaBa
