The forest floor humus of soils of some state nature reserves
1994
Saly, R. (Technicka Univ., Zvolen (Slovakia). Lesnicka Fakulta)
The forest floor of soils was investigated in 14 standpoints under natural stands in State nature reserves and also the status of soils under 3 spruce monoculture stands to enable comparison. The quantity of the forest floor of soils depends on its form; the more favourable it is, the faster the organic decay. The variability of the forest floor of soil is considerable. The quantity was investigated using ash content, buffering capacity and enzymatic activity. Both the buffering capacity and enzymatic activity have been proved to be the appropriate and sensitive characteristics.
