1992
Wutichai Kangkorn
Export price of good quality U.S. rice and broken rice were affected by loan rate by 28.82 and 80.38 percents, respectively. But the impact of change in export price of good quality U.S. rice on the price of good quality of Thai rice was only 6.77 percent. While the impact of change in export price of U.S. broken rice on the export of broken Thai rice was 16.15 percent. The impact was small because Thailand was a price maker in the world market. In case of corn, the impact of loan rate on export price of U.S. corn and the impact of U.S. corn export price on Thai corn export price were 42.34 and 53.99 percents, respectively. The impact was larger than that of rice because Thailand was a price maker in the world market.
