Control of mungbean insect pests by insecticides

Experiments to control mungbean insect pest by insecticides were conducted at Chai Nat Field Crops Research Center in dry seasons of 1986 and 1987. Monocrotophos 0.1 %, triazophos 0.1 %, carbosulfan 0.06 %, malathion 0.1 %, prothiofos 0.075 % and methamidophos 0.071 % ranking respectively in connection to high yields and effectiveness gave very satisfactory results for thrips and broad mite controls while triazophos 0.1 %, cyhalothrin L 0.004 %, monocrotophos 0.1 %, methamidophos 0.1 % and endosulfan 0.075 % respectively were effective for pod borer control.
