Effect of fresh ipil-ipil (Leucaena spp.) leaves feeding and PGF2A on the second year reproductive function of breeding does

Objective of this study is to determine the effects of fresh ipil-ipil leaves feeding on the estrous induction, length of service period, gestation period, kidding rate, daily weight gain, total number of kids delivered and weaning percentage of breeding does. The results showed that 10 mg PGF2A could shortened significantly (p0.05) the estrous induction and length of service period of breeding does by 22.9 and 48.1 days, respectively. The does receiving of high level of fresh ipil-ipil leaves had significantly longer service period, lower daily DM intake and higher daily weight gain than those fed lower fresh ipil-ipil leaves. The comulative feeding of high level of fresh ipil-ipil had no adverse effects on the second year reproductive function of breeding does.
