Experiment on culture of grouper (Epinephelus malabaricus Forskal) fed on artificial diet and trash fish

Grouper fingerlings have been cultured in flooting net cage and were fed on artificial diet with many levels of protein content and trash fish. The initial average weight of test in each cage were 73.3, 74.33, 107.1 and 80.3 gm. After 120 days, the average weight gains in each cage were 133.6, 175.8, 219.2 and 150.07 gm. There are statistical differences between protein content 50 and 30 percent and between protein content 50 percent and trash fish. The food conversion rates were at 18.01, 11.33, 5.86 and 5.19 and the survival rates were at 58.33, 71.67, 81.67 percent, respectively.
