The study was carried out with chicks of light (Isabrown) and heavy (Hybro and Ross) provenience. The obtained results show that 12 hours after phytohemagglutinin-P (PHA-P) inoculation, a late hypersensitive reaction occurs on the skin in the form of edema and infiltration of a larger number of heterophylls and smaller number of lymphocytes, macrophages and mast cells. In the course of the experiment, from the 12th to the 21st days of life of all chicks, the total number and differential ratio of leukocytes in peripheral blood did not change significantly. The results of studies of the skin-hypersensitive response, as well as the cytomorphological changes in interdigital skin and peripheral blood of chicks to phytohemagglutinin (PHA-P), show that the T cell immune system is more immunoreactive in studied young Isabrown chicks than Hybro and Ross chicks.
