Tasks of technical progress in order to increase the competitiveness of Hungarian agriculture

The essence of the present problems of Hungarian agriculture appears in the situation of its competitiveness. The latter is a complex category, its actual evolution depending on numerous factors. Its estimation is relative, since it can be evaluated as compared with competitors. The latter can be international or domestic ones, thus competitiveness can be studied on the level of a country, a sector, a company, of a product/service. The investigation of the competitiveness of agriculture, as well as its influencing, may be important and interesting on each of the levels mentioned above. The primary mission of technical progress (as part of the innovation chain) is to transform (according to the objectives determined) everything supplied by the RD sphere, which is worth such a transformation, into the framework of practical application. In the spirit of all these factors, the paper systematically describes the most important tasks of complex technical progress in agriculture which directly or indirectly the competitiveness of this sector
