Joining EU requires immense efforts, the total renewal of economy, the creation of an adequate attitude to high quality in every field of life, and the establishment of a suitable system of quality control. However, experience shows that, though on governental level significant steps and initiations are made towards this goal, the majority of companies and entrepreneurs still display insufficient interest and activity in this field. It seems as though they had still not realized that the matter in question is their survival. Costs connected with high quality increase the profitability of the venture. It is expedient to "collect" every cost that is even minimally connected with quality - the more the better. Furthermore, it is expedient to inform managers of them, presenting changes as compared with data of the previous year. When all this is done, information must be translated to the language of the employees so that they can successfully utilize it in their job
