Cardinal points determining quality, trends of development, and tasks along the poultry product way

The main objective of research was to detect the problems of quality during the individual phases of the poultry way as a function of vertical integration and competitiveness, and to formulate the main tasks this sector has to solve in the field of the improvement in quality. After a brief survey of the present situation of the poultry sector in Hungary, the following topics were studied: the international and domestic situation of vertical integration in the poultry sector, and the features of integrations operating in Hungary which are similar to those in advanced industrial countries or different: the problems of quality at the individual links of the product way as a function of costs and efficacy; the competitiveness of the poultry sector as reflected by quality; and short-term and medium-term tasks serving for the improvement in quality. Along with processing domestic and foreign literature, research performed by the author is based on numerous consultations with specialists working in administration and research. She wants to acknowledge also hereby their valuable information and remarks
