The supply function of Hony-Melon in Nineva Governorate

The objective of this study was to identify the important variables affecting the acreage allocation and farmers response of Hony-Melon in Nineva Governorate. The Nerlovian Model was used. The study indicated that the Nerlovian coefficient was very low, that is 0.037. This means farmers response or acreage allocation according to relative prices and other factors is very weak because the decision of production depends on the probability of precipitation
