The obligate intracellular pathogens of genus Chlamydia are widespread in the human and animal populations. We investigated some abortion, infertility cases as well as conjunctivitis and respiratory diseases to check chlamydia infections as soon as possible by new powerful techniques such as nucleic acids based tests: PCR, RFLP or immunological typing techniques with monoclonal antibodies in ELISA. These diagnostic methods give better information about the distribution of different species, strain variations among productive animals.
