The aim of this researh was: to detect the common influence of intramuscular administration of atropine sulfate combination with acepromazine (as premedication) and intravenous administration of ketamine hydrochloride combination with diazepam (as general anesthetic) on the ECG parameters of German Shepherd dogs. In the given study the ECG parameters of German Shepherd dogs in premedication: P and T waves were variable, the duration of P-R interval increased, but QRS and Q-T intervals - decreased. In general anesthesia characteristic changes in the ECY components of the dogs were in the amplitude of Q and S waves. In cases when Q wave was recorded, S wave was not observed. The duration of P-R, QRS and Q-T intervals decreased significantly due to a remarkable increase of the heart rate.
