[Investigation results of herbicide application in Sugarbeets]

Investigations on annual dicotyledon weed control during sugarbeet vegetation were carried out on the farm Lielmezotne in 1996 and 1997. Investigation results showed high efficiency of the new herbicide Betanol Progress OF. The best results were obtained by 3-times spraying at a rate of 1.00-1.25 l/ha after weeds had germinated. The yield and sugar content of the beets were not affected by the tested herbicides
