Gibberellic acid altered responses of maize (Zea mays L.) varieties
1996
Ahmad, S. | Qasim, M. (Government Coll., Faisalabad (Pakistan))
Effect of gibberellic acid applied by two modes (seed soaking and foliar spray) was studied on two varieties of maize (Zea mays L.) viz. Akbar and Sultan. The hormone caused a significant increase in various parameters like internode length, leaf area, size of cobs, number and weight of grains and total yield. Foliar spray proved more useful than seed soaking method.
