Logran and Tolkan herbicides were applied post-emergence to Triticum aestivum L. varieties namely Inqulab and Pasban during 1996-97 at low medium and high rates. More than 90% control was achieved for Anagallis arvensis, Circium arvensis, Coronopus didymus, Euphorbia helioscopia Fumaria indica Medicago polymorpha and Rumex dentatus while Convolvulus arvensis was only partially controlled. Cynodon dactylon survived at very high densities. High rates of herbicides were more effective for reducing weed biomass, whereas medium rates of Logran (160g/ha) and Tolkan (1250 g/ha) gave maximum increase in wheat biomass and grain yields.
