Non of the 35 cultivars/test line evaluated for the sources of resistance against soybean yellow mosaic virus disease, was found to be immune. Cultivars 91-1, 91-2, 91-3, 91-4 were found to be highly resistant both on the basis of disease incidence and disease severity rating. CHIPPEWA-64, ZANE, H.M. 8464, KENT, CORSOY, SPARK, SUEHSINE, PERSHING were found resistant on the basis of disease incidence while the same cultivars except SUEHSINE line, exhibited resistant reaction on the basis of disease severity rating. Seven cultivars such as HARPER, ELLIN, WILLIAMS-82, BLACK-HACK, EVANS, PIXIE and LAKOTA were found moderately resistant on the basis of present plant infection while LAKOTA, HARPER, WILLIAMS-82, ELLIN, BLACK HACK, PIXIE, EVANS and CUTLER, were moderately resistant on the basis of severity rating. Remaining 16 cultivars were found moderately to fairly susceptible to yellow mosaic virus infection.
