The effect of different budding heights (20 and 25 cm) on the growth of "Fazali-Manani" plum on local peach root-stock were examined. The experiment was carried out at Horticulture Farm, NWFP Agricultural University, Peshawar during 1994-95. All the treatments except 10 cm showed better results, but 25 cm was proved the best for shoot length, shoot diameter, number of leaves and number of branches per plant, whereas 20 cm budding height gave maximum bud survival and bud sprouting. Minimum bud sprouting, bud survival shoot length, shoot diameter, number of leaves and number of branches per plant were recorded for the plants budded at 10 cm height.
