Investigations were carried out on plant succession and species variation on the bottom and slopes of the Leniwka water-course following maintenance works. Bed elutriation was done using a Pelican excavator and the vegetation on the slopes was mowed using had tools. On a segment not subjected to maintenance (N), in the aquatic zone dominated sweet grass and reed canary grass. These plants showed highest regeneration after the maintenance (K), whereas duckweed and bistort did not grow again and, instead, coach grass and nettle appeared.
