The effect of different number of Chenopodium album (0, 5, 10, 20 and 50 per 1 square m) on the spring barley yield and its structure was compared in microplot experiment over the years 1988-90. The presence of 5 Ch. album plants per 1 square m reduced grain yield of spring barley 2 percent. Critical density of Ch. album - 50 per 1 square m reduced grain yield by 24 percent. The reduction of grain yields was connected with worse yield structure mainly due to decreasing of ear number per 1 square m and weight of grains from 1 ear. Increasing weed infestation decreased of N content and uptake in total yield of spring barley, and increased - P and K
